When I moved to Port Saint Lucie in 2012, I saw vii Vets earlier finding VCA TRI-Canton. I love this Vet. The doctors are peak notch with routine care, diagnostics and surgical procedures. Every unmarried person there is a truthful animal lover and that is reflected in the level of intendance. They have the time to explain things and discuss alternatives. I can always arrive for emergencies, and when end of life is inevitable, y'all won't detect a more caring and compassionate team. I will never consider any other vet. Yes, they are that adept. The staff are all very caring, but the prices are horrendous. One has to pay either for the program for a twelvemonth or the unabridged year. Don't take your male kitten there for free initial exam hoping to get him neutered in that location. Y'all'll exist quoted a price of almost $300!!!!! Then....you'll be told that THEY do "special" things like an ECG and "expensive" medication during the surgery!! The medications are sedatives, similar Ketamine, a chemical compound for hurting & sedation (hallucinogen), or a gas, like halothane. These types of medications have been around decades and are very inexpensive, some around 40 cents a pill. Plus....it takes roughly TWO minutes to neuter a male cat AND they don't fifty-fifty suture the surgical site on the outside. Only the inside with dissolvable sutures. The ONLY exception that would be "special"(and by special I mean different/boosted), would be medication for feral cats, and mine is not feral. No WONDER people don't bother to spay/neuter their pets and there are, consequently, so MANY unwanted animals!! Just GREEDY!! How much is it to spay a female then? I'm guessing nearly $1,200??? I paid $36 each for my dog and cat, INCLUDING a rabies shot, which is typically around $50 at the vet, at least, and the vet that did them both was AWESOME and at that place were NO complications whatsoever. This place is okay for the small stuff but don't come hither before 9 for an emergency because they won't help you. They told me their not equipt to do anything at all for my dog that was throwing up claret without a doctor and they wouldn't even endeavor calling i in. Also, the lady at the desk told me they could at least look at him than when nosotros went in the room they said they couldn't do anything. Than why fifty-fifty tell me to go in the room. This identify should not be called a hospital if they can't do annihilation on brusque notice. Read Less

Recently our domestic dog got very sick and we brought him to TRI County Creature Infirmary. The Vets suggested that we hospitalize Louie considering of pancreatic issues. The unabridged staff treated Louie similar he was their dog and allowed the states to visit him equally oftentimes every bit we liked. At the end we lost Louie due to pancreatic cancer. It felt good knowing that my canis familiaris was being cared for by professionals who truly cared for him and my family. I strongly recommend Tri County to anyone who is looking for a skillful vet on the treasure declension. Read Less

I only gave it 2 stars because the ladies in front were and so friendly. The vet seemed nice too, until I asked almost making payment arrangements for the treatment my cat needed considering I didnt accept the money that day. I recently moved to FL and needed to pick up a new supply of Heartguard for my canis familiaris. They left u.s. sitting in an examination room for 75 minutes without saying anything (I had an appointment and showed upwards exactly on time), I concluded up having to become remind them we were at that place. The vet said he had to do a concrete examination before giving united states of america the medicine ($45), which he spent about 30 seconds doing and it was a joke. We had bought the i year puppy plan at our previous VCA earlier moving to FL (virtually $900 for the year) - which we were promised would transfer if we moved - but the vet in Ft Pierce denied this, and then I essentially paid VCA double for this visit....he besides gave us a different brand of medicine then she had been on, I asked if it was OK to switch and he just kind of shrugged and said something like 'it should be fine'....I also had them trim my canis familiaris's nails ($15), they took her into another room and brought her dorsum freaked out and she had peed on herself (I judge they were a bit crude). We're only glad the 1-twelvemonth plan we pre-paid for was near upwardly when nosotros moved to FL, otherwise we would exist out a lot of coin. I definitely don't recommend this VCA, they scared my dog enough to pee on herself just trimming her nails, and left me feeling ripped off, in add-on to wasting 2 hours here just to become heartworm medicine. The vet likewise came off as incompetent, I wouldn't bring my dog hither with a serious problem. This is disappointing because our previous VCA was corking. Read Less
